World Environment Day 2010 Report

World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated every year throughout the world on 5th June in order to give a human face to environmental issues and empower people to become active agents of sustainable and equitable development and amongst others.

For WED 2010, Youth Environment Network (YEN) - Zambia organized an environmental fun fair with its affiliate School Namununga. Namununga School is one of the first schools in Zambia which has decided to go green and it has started on a bang with its powerful truism "Go Green Namununga" reigning in both pupils and teachers' minds.

About a thousand people in attendance and you can read the full report by downloading our World Environment Day 2010 Report here.
